Reduce flooding on your property
Green spaces are an essential part of our mental wellbeing, and much better for the environment. Natural turf will allow water to drain away, helping to reduce flooding on your property. There are advantages and disadvantages to natural and artificial turf, which one is best for you will depend on your needs. Artificial turf is lower maintenance and can be the only choice for areas where there is no soil, such as balconies.
Natural vs artificial turf
Natural turf has several advantages over artificial turf, as it is more environmentally friendly and it’s softer to walk on. With temperatures increasing, it stays cooler than artificial grass, making it more comfortable to walk on, even on the hottest of days. Some artificial turf can get hot on a sunny day, so it is essential to have the right knowledge and experience when choosing the best type for your garden. With so many factors to think about, we can help you choose which turf would be ideal for your lifestyle, your environment, and your needs.
Careful preparation
As with any project we undertake, we will carefully prepare the area where the turf is to be laid. The best time of year to lay a natural lawn is in spring or autumn, enabling the turf to establish itself before either hot weather or frosts. We will prepare the surface by raking it even – it may be necessary to add topsoil. This will be compressed and raked again to ensure it is even and flat before we lay the turf.
